Job Summary:

The Director will be accountable for the strategic and operational execution of developing, maintaining and accelerating the Travel Retail and Emerging Markets channels. They will be responsible for their P&L, LRP's and operational efficiencies. They will also oversee the end-to-end process and cross-functional collaboration across Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, Logistics, Buying & Marketing.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Own, lead and design the implementation of Coach's Travel Retail strategy for the EMEAI region.
  2. Launch and ensure the long-term success of new Emerging Markets via a Franchise/Distributor model
  3. Navigate and build processes for complex Markets including Duty Free and North Africa.
  4. Ensure new businesses, stores and doors are opened and are executed to brand standard.
  5. Accountability for the sales, profit and brand presence across the Travel Retail & Emerging Market channels.
  6. Maximise market share and new customer acquisition.
  7. Collaborate with key partners, service provider contacts and multiple functions across the business to build commercial plan and resources required to deliver and accelerate.
  8. Proactively highlight risks and opportunities and provide both support and challenge to business stakeholders.
  9. Working and negotiating with external partners and providers ensuring we can deliver profitable model / solutions where required.
  10. Partnering cross functionally to develop inventory strategies for each Travel Retail and Emerging Market account.
  11. Lead a small Sales team - ensuring opportunities are maximised in the immediate term and to support long-term growth across Tapestry's brand portfolio.
  12. Partner with regional Wholesale Sales Managers and Directors to ensure consistency in assortment and brand representation across hybrid business models within EMEAI.
  13. Share and apply best practice and insight to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  1. 5 years' experience at a senior manager level
  2. 7-10 years' retail / wholesale experience within EMEAI
  3. 2+ years' experience working within a Travel Retail model
  4. Multi-category experience across Franchise models
  5. Multi-category experience in a planning environment
  6. Numerate with strong analytical skills and financial acumen
  7. Strategic thinker that is commercially driven with a focus on the bottom line
  8. Ability to make prudent decisions under pressure and deadlines
