Program Director for Emerging Markets

EMpower, a global philanthropic organization, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Program Director for Emerging Markets to lead our programmatic work in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing global staff teams, developing and implementing program strategies, and building strong relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement program strategies to achieve EMpower's mission and goals
  • Manage a team of program professionals across multiple global locations
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including grantee partners, donors, and board members
  • Oversee program planning, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Contribute to the development of EMpower's overall strategy and vision
Requirements:
  • 15+ years' experience in international youth development or gender-focused philanthropy
  • Proven track record of managing global staff teams and developing program strategies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Fluency in English, with a degree of proficiency in one or more languages of EMpower's implementing countries
