Job Title: Senior Cost Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cost Manager to join our team at Turner & Townsend. As a Senior Cost Manager, you will be responsible for managing and leading aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy, including pre and post-contract duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead aspects of quantity surveying and cost consultancy
  • Produce cost estimates and cost plans
  • Manage the tender process, review and analyse tender returns, and prepare recommendations to the client
  • Attend meetings, prepare financial reports, and monitor the status of projects
  • Ensure the project remains on budget from design to completion phase
  • Undertake full post-contract duties, including establishing the effect of variations and evaluating and negotiating final account settlements
  • Build and maintain working relationships with clients
  • Manage junior team members to deliver our cost management service effectively

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
  • Accredited MRICS member
  • Experience of high-value and complex projects gained in a consultancy environment
  • Workplace, retail, commercial, or mixed-use sector experience desirable
  • Commercially aware with excellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skills
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages, CAD, and CostX
