Clinical Mental Health Practitioner/Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Specialist/Mental Health Practitioner at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients with complex mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' mental health needs, including risk assessments and developing care plans.
- Work closely with the chronic pain team and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to patient care.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance to colleagues on mental health issues related to chronic pain.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans to meet the complex needs of patients with chronic pain and mental health conditions.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of service policies and procedures.
- Current registration with a relevant professional body (e.g. NMC, HCPC).
- Relevant clinical qualification and experience in mental health settings.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in psychological therapies and ways of working.
- Experience of working with trauma and PTSD presentations, as well as managing significant mental health difficulties.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
