Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MEP Construction Manager to join our team at ICDS Recruitment Consultants Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing MEPF support to our clients' CM teams, general contractors, and MEPF subcontractors on new region builds.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Review and Coordination: Review IFC designs for design issues and improvements, and determine where local alternatives with better lead times can be applied.
  2. Design Change Management: Review incoming design change directives for impact to MEP works and establish if they can be implemented depending on site progress.
  3. Technical Support: Work with MEPF contractors to offer technical support on MEPF systems, clarify clients' expectations, and typical installation practices.
  4. Shop Drawing Management: Assist MEPF contractors in generating shop drawings, review of same prior to formal submission.
  5. Procurement Management: Monitor the procurement process of MEPF contractors to ensure orders are placed for materials and equipment in time for delivery without affecting the project schedule.
  6. Progress Tracking and Reporting: Track, monitor, and report on MEPF progress daily, while monitoring manpower and equipment deployed across sites.
  7. Resource Planning: Review progress against resources and forecast required resources to be deployed in order to meet/recover schedule.
  8. Quality Assurance: Review the quality of the MEPF installation while it's WIP to minimize reworks.
  9. Client Communication: Advise MEPF contractors of client's best practices and standards, communicate clients' expectations to the MEPF teams.
  10. Commissioning and Testing: Work with MEPF contractors to close out comments and nonconformance reports, develop ITP's, inspection notices, pre-commissioning and commissioning plans and procedures.
  11. Site Coordination: Provide guidance to MEPF contractors on installation and coordination at site, review and determine acceptable deviations from the design/shop drawings.
  12. Equipment Delivery and Installation: Coordinate with LLE vendors for equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  13. Commissioning and Testing: Provide MEPF contractors with guidance on commissioning and oversee MEPF L1-L3 commissioning, interface with clients' Cx team for L4-L5 commissioning.
  14. Project Closeout: Support the GC in the management of MEPF contractors through to PFHO.
Requirements

Strong time management and communication skills are essential to this role, as well as computer literacy and the ability to prepare reports and administer necessary paperwork.
