Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs in a classroom environment.

About the Role:
  • Support children with special educational needs in a classroom environment
  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized support plans
  • Assist children in processing difficult emotions and behaviors
  • Provide one-to-one support to children as needed
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support children's learning
Requirements:
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and keeping children safe in education
  • Patient and resilient with good skills in behavior management
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience working in a classroom setting or willingness to develop skills and knowledge using our CPD courses and learning resources provided
