Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Ocklynge School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, particularly in Key Stage 2.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing individualized support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans, and provide feedback to students on their progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with special educational needs, including those with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of lessons, including setting up equipment and materials.
  • Help to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting positive behavior and relationships among students.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous knowledge or interest/experience in working with children in Key Stage 2, although we would consider someone with extensive experience of Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 3. You will also need to be adept at establishing positive relationships and have high expectations of yourself and others.

All staff will be expected to hold or be willing to obtain an enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services.
