Job Description:
We are currently working with a developed mainstream Primary School in Haringey to find an experienced SENCO to join their team. This role will be full-time and will involve overseeing the provision for children with special educational needs and various disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee the day-to-day operation of the school's SEN policy
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues and work closely with staff and parents
- Contribute to and implement strategic plans for the provision of pupils with EHCPs
- Have good behaviour management and communication skills
- Hold the National SENCO qualification or be working towards completing the qualification
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of SEND
- Ability to model and disseminate high-quality teaching pedagogy and practice
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well as part of the staff team
- Innovation and high levels of motivation and eagerness to take a lead
