About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Crisis and Home Treatment Practitioner to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at Parkview Clinic. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing timely and effective support to young people experiencing mental health crises.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for children and adolescents facing acute challenges.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, focusing on solution-focused interventions to empower young people and their families.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including clinicians, educators, and social workers, to ensure holistic care.
  • Provide crisis intervention services in the community, offering de-escalation techniques and guidance to navigate challenging situations.
  • Liaise with inpatient agencies to facilitate smooth transitions back to the community following hospital discharge.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment progress.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) or Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) qualification is essential.
  • Substantial post-registration experience in mental health care, with a focus on working with children and adolescents.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in crisis intervention techniques and de-escalation strategies.
