Job Opportunity: Tobacco Treatment Dependency Advisor

Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Tobacco Treatment Dependency Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will work with pregnant women and families across the region, providing individualized support for smoking cessation and promoting healthy lifestyles.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality smoking cessation services to pregnant women and post-partum women
  • Develop and implement public health information and brief interventions to promote healthy lifestyles
  • Collaborate with the Tobacco Treatment Dependency Lead to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Health care or equivalent
  • Experience with Excel Spreadsheet and data analysis

Desirable:

  • Smoking Cessation Advisor qualification or relevant certification
  • Training in Making Every Contact Count and Motivational Interviewing

  • Good written communication skills and accurate record keeping
  • Ability to prioritize workload and work flexibly
