Position Overview:

An exceptional opportunity is available at Glossbrook Builders Ltd, a leading housebuilding contractor in the region.

The organization seeks a dynamic and skilled individual to fill the role of Financial Operations and Administration Lead, initially reporting to the Finance Director. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the capability and potential to eventually report directly to the Managing Director and the Board, contributing to the formulation of the Company's strategy and ensuring compliance with it.

Qualified accountants with experience in construction contract accounting and systems are encouraged to apply. Alternatively, candidates with substantial relevant experience will also be considered. Strong communication skills are a must.

Applicants should exhibit a passion for managing and developing personnel.

This role presents an opportunity for both personal and professional advancement, allowing you to join a respected team in the housebuilding sector and serve as the primary contact for all financial matters within the Company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and managing cash flows and the overall financial position.
  • Generating monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounting reports and forecasts.
  • Collaborating with auditors to prepare year-end financial statements and corporate tax returns.
  • Addressing the needs of Project and Site Management and Quantity Surveyors, including reviewing contract costs and outcomes.
  • Handling all aspects of taxation.
  • Managing and enhancing the Company's IT systems.
  • Overseeing the HR function, including training and development.
  • Leading the accounts and administration office team.
  • Coordinating the Company's insurance arrangements with brokers.
  • Managing the Company's vehicle fleet.
  • Acting as the primary liaison with auditors, bankers, insurance brokers, equipment finance providers, IT systems providers, and other stakeholders.
