Job Title: Surgical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at the Nightingale Centre in Manchester.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic senior nurse to provide clinical support to the surgical and radiological teams in the one-stop triple assessment clinics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients in a dedicated dressing's clinic, coordinating clinic duties, and providing holistic nursing care in both consultant and nurse-led clinics.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to influence change and improve patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical support to the surgical and radiological teams
  • Manage patients in a dedicated dressing's clinic
  • Coordinate clinic duties and provide holistic nursing care
  • Develop and implement care plans for patients with acute and chronic wounds
  • Contribute to governance processes within the unit
Person Specification
  • Qualified to function as mentor for pre-registration learners
  • Experience of research activities and quality improvement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to be flexible and adaptable
