Become a vital member of the Housing Support Team

The Housing Support Team is committed to aiding at-risk homeowners and private renters in securing essential home enhancements and adaptations for disabilities, allowing them to maintain independence within their residences.

As a Housing Support Technical Specialist, your key duties will include:

  • Overseeing a portfolio of Disabled Facilities Grants
  • Evaluating grant applications, which involves means-testing and financial evaluations
  • Advocating for the approval of grants and loans
  • Supervising on-site activities and managing grant disbursements
  • Assisting other housing initiatives such as Green Homes Grants, heating repairs, and necessary home upgrades
  • Conducting home visits to collect information, discuss housing requirements, and identify optimal solutions

A valid driving license and access to a personal vehicle are prerequisites for this position. You will work in collaboration with partners to ensure that repairs and modifications adhere to quality standards and timelines.
