Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused support to families and professionals during times of transition.

  • Facilitate the exchange of information to guide planning for children and young people.
  • Foster partnerships among educational personnel, families, and stakeholders to achieve shared objectives.
  • Empower children and families to engage actively in decision-making processes.
  • Serve as a model of best practices and a source of information for collaborative efforts.
  • Design, implement, and assess training opportunities for educational staff.
  • Establish connections across educational sectors to enhance effective planning methodologies.
  • Set and pursue annual performance objectives.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Hold RQF Level 2 of the SEN awards or possess equivalent experience.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development in a relevant area.
  • Understand the SEND Code of Practice and its implications for daily assessment and planning.
  • Have substantial experience working with children with SEND in educational or home environments.
  • Demonstrate effective collaboration with families and professionals in multi-agency contexts.
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution capabilities.
  • Possess the ability to develop skills, lead meetings, and provide training.

Additional Requirements: The role necessitates mobility within the operational area; therefore, a valid driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
