Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Targeted Support: Offer tailored support to non-verbal students, utilizing specialized communication aids and strategies to facilitate their participation in classroom activities.
  • Implement Individualized Learning Plans: Develop and adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of non-verbal students, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive academically and socially.
  • Monitor Progress and Behavior: Observe and document students' progress, behavior, and communication, providing regular feedback to teachers and relevant professionals.
  • Create an Inclusive Environment: Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting engagement and managing classroom behavior.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support the development and well-being of non-verbal students.
Requirements
  • Relevant Qualification: Possess a relevant SEN qualification.
  • Experience: Previous experience supporting non-verbal students or those with significant communication needs in a primary school setting.
