About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Care Coordinator to join our team at Westgate Healthcare. As a Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our elderly residents by planning and delivering engaging activities and events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct resident assessments to identify their activity needs and preferences
  • Develop and implement a varied activity program that caters to the diverse needs and interests of our residents
  • Organize theme-based events, outings, and activities that promote socialization, entertainment, and stimulation
  • Manage activity budgets and ensure that all events and activities are conducted in a safe and responsible manner
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to source resources and materials for activities
  • Produce regular newsletters and social media updates to keep residents and their families informed about upcoming events and activities

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in a team and provide excellent customer service
  • Compassion, empathy, and a caring nature
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage residents in recreational activities and promote socialization
  • Previous experience in a care home setting is desirable but not essential
