Management Accountant

We are seeking an ambitious Management Accountant to join our high-performing team in Smethwick, Roebuck Lane. As a key member of our Finance department, you will be responsible for the accounting, analysis, and administration of our Network of Depots and our Owner Driver Department.
Key Responsibilities:- Working closely with the Finance Manager on specific projects to drive business growth and improvement.
- Developing strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Management of Weekly Financial P/L, including revenue analysis, monthly and year-end reporting, while being able to consolidate the information into concise reports.
- Compiling annual plans and presenting these to Senior Management team members to inform strategic decision-making.
- Preparation of monthly Balance sheets to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identifying cost savings and efficiencies to drive business improvement.
- Review and redesign existing processes to facilitate decision-making and improve operational efficiency.
- A commercially astute and fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 12 months post-qualification practical experience.
- A minimum of a 2:1 degree in any discipline and Grade C or above GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
- Strong financial awareness, experience of group reporting, and the ability to monitor your performance against deadlines and milestones.
- Proven experience of operating at a senior management accountant or equivalent level role, coupled with the know-how and confidence to present clear and simple results.
- Outstanding analytical skills and attention to detail: able to analyse numerical data, verbal data, and all other sources of information quickly and effectively.
- Good planning and organisational skills, and the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
