The Role
We recognize a substantial opportunity to enhance our Financial Advisory & Restructuring services within the Insurance Sector on a global scale. We are seeking professionals with diverse experience levels, ranging from Senior Consultant to Associate Director. Ideal candidates will possess a background in audit, regulatory advisory, transaction advisory, restructuring, or other professional services within the Property & Casualty (P&C) and/or Life insurance sectors. This position offers the chance to engage in a variety of Financial Advisory projects, collaborating with Senior Leadership to deliver advisory services, manage transactions, and implement restructuring initiatives while contributing to the growth of our insurance advisory practice.
Teneo's Insurance Financial Advisory Team merges expertise in restructuring, regulatory compliance, financial analysis, and transactions with project management and leadership skills, alongside a profound understanding of the business and regulatory challenges encountered by global insurers, reinsurers, and intermediaries. Our team often integrates these capabilities with restructuring and M&A efforts to facilitate significant transformations efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Client Service: Lead and manage complex, multi-faceted engagements, providing support to senior colleagues on Financial Advisory projects, often in challenging or crisis situations.
- Business Development: Actively participate in the team's business development efforts, expanding your network within the insurance and financial advisory markets while developing insights and perspectives.
- People and Leadership: Mentor and guide team members, fostering talent development and promoting an inclusive workplace culture.
Typical Projects May Include:
- Restructuring in distressed scenarios
- Corporate and portfolio reorganizations
- Management of regulatory changes
- Regulatory reporting
- Transaction management and M&A
- Operational remediation efforts
- Implementation of insolvency procedures
Key Skills & Experience Required:
- Experience in the insurance industry.
- Strong financial skills, preferably ACA/ACCA qualified with first-time passes.
- Background in audit, regulatory advisory, transaction advisory, restructuring, or other professional services in the P&C and/or Life insurance sectors.
- Offshore financial services experience is advantageous.
- Logical and methodical problem-solving abilities.
- Ambitious nature with a desire to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational and report writing capabilities.
- Ability to lead small teams and mentor junior staff.
- Fluency in oral and written English is essential.
