Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our team at Finning International. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic procurement plans to drive cost reduction, process improvements, and standardisation across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver procurement function strategic goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through dedicated management and active participation with the regional operations teams and global supply chain team.
  • Oversee and drive procurement and vendor management's strategic objectives at the local levels.
  • Ensure the implementation of and compliance with negotiated contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain close alignment with Global Procurement to deliver corporate objectives within Regional operational requirements and strategies.
  • Partner and liaise with and influence internal business partners to ensure early involvement and optimal use of procurement and supplier tools, processes and systems.
  • Mentor and support project management concepts in the planning and execution of procurement projects.
  • Provide direction and clearly communicate targets to teams, measuring performance against agreed targets.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to increase skills and improve performance. Develop the capability and skill set of the Procurement Team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic procurement plans.
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in inventory management and procurement operations.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing functional activities and tasks through direct reports, managerial planning and integrating support activities.
  • Significant working experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
  • Extensive experience leading/managing/supervising direct reports.
  • Experience within a large organisation with a proven track record of influencing authority at all levels and implementing supply chain strategies.
  • Full CIPS Membership (desirable).
  • Previous experience of leading in a global organisation (desirable).
