About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for developing and delivering strategic procurement plans that drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with business objectives
- Lead and manage a team of procurement professionals to ensure effective delivery of procurement services
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders to drive value and improve procurement processes
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards
- Provide training and development opportunities to procurement team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
Requirements
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic procurement plans
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and managing a team of procurement professionals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
- Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain management and strategic procurement
- Knowledge of commercial/contractual practices and procurement operations
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or equivalent experience in a related field
