The purpose of the role:
The Programme management Lead will lead the delivery of a strategic & tactical portfolio of finance process and technology transformation projects ensuring projects are delivered on time, to cost, and quality. Reporting to the Centre of Excellence Director, the postholder will work within our newly created Finance Centre of Excellence team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference and we are looking for an individual who has a background in delivering finance transformational projects and change and who is comfortable working across all levels of management up to and including our Directors/ Heads of Finance and CFO.
Key Responsibilities
The key focus areas for the Programme Management Lead are:
- Work with Finance/ Procurement/ Technology Services stakeholders to ensure all projects are prioritized, resourced appropriately, and delivered to timescale, business case and within budget.
- Design and implement a project approach, framework, reporting and governance methodology which is aligned with Aggreko Technology services.
- Responsible for monitoring and challenging workstreams on progress, project performance and demand planning.
- Lead on project governance initiatives and design and implement a project stage gate methodology.
- Monitor the portfolio budget throughout the year, ensuring actual spend is tracked accurately, and up to date forecasts are maintained.
- Ensure Business case production is robust, and projects are tracked according to the approved budget.
- Responsible for proactively managing and reporting on risks and issues, supporting workstreams in their mitigation and resolution plans and actions.
- Build relationships and trust with key stakeholders to support programme delivery and collaborative approaches where appropriate.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong track record of delivering complex global finance programs of work. A strategic planner able to manage complexity and interdependencies.
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of how complex information should be presented in a simple way to different groups of stakeholders.
- Strong leadership credentials - influential and impactful in complex organisations and demanding environments.
- Experience of delivering in a fast-paced change environment. (Agile/ waterfall experience would be advantageous)
- Highly motivated self-starter with a high level of energy/motivation and evidence of a proactive approach to tasks.
