About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Director to join our team at Finning. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and delivering procurement function strategic goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) through dedicated management and active participation with regional operations teams and global supply chain team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to achieve cost reduction, process improvements, and standardization.
  • Oversee and drive procurement and vendor management's strategic objectives at the local levels.
  • Ensure the implementation of and compliance with negotiated contracts, agreements, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain close alignment with Global Procurement to deliver corporate objectives within Regional operational requirements and strategies.
  • Partner and liaise with internal business partners to ensure early involvement and optimal use of procurement and supplier tools, processes, and systems.
  • Mentor and support project management concepts in the planning and execution of procurement projects.
  • Provide direction and clearly communicate targets to teams, measuring performance against agreed targets.
  • Identify training and development opportunities to increase skills and improve performance.
  • Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers.
  • Embed a robust and sustainable supplier management process and culture within the business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategic procurement plans.
  • Practical experience and theoretical knowledge in inventory management and procurement operations.
  • Strong leadership experience in managing functional activities and tasks through direct reports.
  • Significant working experience in supply chain planning and procurement.
  • Full CIPS Membership (desirable).
