Catering Operations Lead

The NEC Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Catering Manager to join our dynamic team at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
As the go-to destination for aerospace pioneers, Farnborough International delivers world-class air shows and events. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of catering operations across numerous outlets within the venue, ensuring exceptional service and customer satisfaction.
Your Responsibilities:- Manage financial data, including forecasting and reporting, to optimize profitability.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols, ensuring a secure working environment for all staff.
- Effectively manage resources, adapt to changing business needs, and control temporary labor budgets.
- Lead, train, and develop your team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Deputize for the Catering Manager in their absence, providing seamless leadership.
- Maintain high standards of service, exceeding customer expectations at every interaction.
- Handle customer complaints effectively, resolving issues promptly and professionally.
- Allocate duties and responsibilities to team members, ensuring optimal performance.
- Provide comprehensive training to staff, identifying development needs and offering hands-on guidance.
- Supervise temporary staff, addressing disciplinary issues, managing absenteeism, and promoting long-term growth.
- Ensure the timely delivery of pre-booked goods and services, meeting customer expectations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify opportunities for new catering concepts and offerings.
We are looking for an individual with proven experience in a multi-faceted catering environment or a similar management role. You should possess excellent customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office.
