Deputy Home Manager - Children Residential

Location: Competitive salary *+ additional £4,000-£8,000 per year for sleep-ins

Hours: Full Time 39 per week

Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence is required

TRC Yorkshire are currently seeking a Deputy Home Manager for a leading provider of innovative care and education services for children and young people with complex needs, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

About the Role

As the Deputy Manager, you will play a crucial role in delivering outstanding care and support, helping young people lead happy and fulfilling lives.

You will be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people. You will be responsible for delivering quality care services and strategic planning for developments within the home.

  1. Leading your team and working with other professionals to provide therapeutic care and support tailored to each child.
  2. Acting as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, fostering an environment of recovery, growth, and lasting change.
  3. Supervising and mentoring staff, organizing work patterns, facilitating care-focused training, and accessing appropriate services to support childcare practices within the home.
  4. Overseeing all day-to-day management matters, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a Residential Children's home.
  2. NVQ Level 4 in Management or Childcare, or willing to work towards it.
  3. Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  4. Experience with budgets and rotas.
  5. A full driving licence is essential.
