Position Summary:
We are currently seeking two Compliance Legal Consultants to join a dedicated Legal Compliance Team within a regulatory body in the UK.
Contract Type:
03 PAYE / £37.53 UMB per hour (equivalent to £56,764 per annum)
20 PAYE / £40.39 UMB per hour (equivalent to £61,009 per annum)
Key Responsibilities:
As a Compliance Legal Consultant, you will provide expert legal guidance on various matters, including:
- Advising case management colleagues on the application of the organization's regulatory powers to ensure decisions are defensible in legal challenges.
- Assisting in identifying and articulating breaches of fiduciary duties by charity trustees.
Risk Assessment:
Your role will involve evaluating risks and recommending mitigation strategies in sensitive and high-profile casework, particularly in a dynamic regulatory environment.
Training and Development:
You will be responsible for:
- Delivering training sessions and developing guidance materials, templates, and standard correspondence to empower case management colleagues in making sound regulatory decisions.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Strong legal advisory skills and the ability to conduct thorough legal research and analysis, including interpreting and advising on complex legal issues.
- Experience in areas such as Charity Law, Company Law, Public Administrative Law, or Regulatory Law.
- A legal qualification as a Solicitor or Barrister, or an equivalent qualification recognized in England and Wales.
- Proficiency in handling sensitive data in compliance with legal and organizational protocols.
