Patient Safety and Compliance Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Patient Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and compliance within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Collate and present safety performance data, analyzing themes and trends to inform improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training programs on patient safety and compliance, using a range of media to engage stakeholders.
- Liaise and coordinate with external agencies, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC), to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Review and analyze safety-related intelligence to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate patient safety alerts and ensure timely dissemination of information to relevant stakeholders.
- Recent experience in a safety and quality governance environment, with a focus on patient safety and clinical risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders and clinical staff.
- Knowledge of the Patient Safety Incident Response Framework (PSIRF) and the CQC regulatory compliance framework.
- Ability to analyze data and produce high-quality reports to inform decision-making.
