Patient Safety and Compliance Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Patient Safety and Compliance Coordinator to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, and the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Patient Safety Learning Response Lead in providing Trust-wide oversight of patient safety learning responses.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collate and present safety performance data, analyzing themes and trends to inform improvement initiatives.
- Develop and deliver training on patient safety and compliance, ensuring staff are equipped to identify and mitigate risks.
- Liaise and coordinate with external agencies, such as the Care Quality Commission, to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee and coordinate patient safety alerts, ensuring timely and effective implementation of safety measures.
- Review and analyze safety-related information to identify areas for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in safety and quality governance, with a focus on patient safety and clinical risk.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior leaders and clinical staff.
- Ability to analyze data and identify trends, with a focus on improving patient safety outcomes.
- Experience with risk management databases, such as Datix.
