Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing the US Programmes Production manufacturing strategy to align with global business goals and support future growth
  • Leading initiatives to enhance resilience across the production portfolio, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders
  • Optimizing production systems to achieve significant cost reductions and secure future production contracts
  • Deputy to US Programmes Production Director, looking across manufacturing function across the business
  • Managing a £50 million capital investment portfolio focused on modernizing production infrastructure and tooling
  • Fostering strong relationships with Service Delivery Units (SDUs) and other key stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration and functional alignment
  • Providing leadership and governance within the Production Operations Senior Management Team, including mentoring and performance management of direct reports

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field, with a deep understanding of production operations and their integration within a global business context
  • Proven leadership experience in managing large, multidisciplinary teams in high-rate manufacturing environments
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing manufacturing strategies that drive operational excellence and transformation
  • Strong background in managing large capital investment projects and modernising production infrastructure
  • Ability to optimize production systems while achieving cost reductions and maintaining high-quality standards
  • Experience leading strategic transformation initiatives that align with global business ambitions
  • Excellent relationship management skills for effective collaboration with senior leadership, customers, and suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to deputize for a senior executive, effectively managing responsibilities across the manufacturing function and representing the Production Director as needed
