**The Role**

As the go-to specialist for Marketing and Public Relations, you'll be the driving force behind raising the profile of Active Lancashire. Reporting directly to the Business Development Director, you'll lead our Marketing and PR Strategy, aiming to shine a spotlight on our work both locally and beyond.

We're looking for someone with creativity and experience in marketing communications to help boost the Active Lancashire brand and work with our team to tailor marketing support for various projects across the county.

Working closely with the Digital Marketing Officer, you'll help share our stories through newsletters and online channels, while also exploring opportunities for awards and recognition. And as the lead Marketing Officer for our place-based projects, you'll be in the thick of it, coordinating communication plans and creating content that showcases the difference we're making in communities across Lancashire.

**Responsibilities**

**Brand management**
- Supporting the Business Development Director to manage the Active Lancashire Brand by developing campaigns, content and key messages that are relevant, effective, targeted and consistent. This includes the development and delivery of the organisation's Brand Strategy.
- To lead best practices and support the Active Lancashire team to be ambassadors for the brand, using the provided templates and adhering to the Active Lancashire brand guidelines.
- Progress the Active Lancashire brand, in line with the ‘Decade of Movement’ strategy objectives, considering individual project brands, signage and branded collateral (online and offline).
- Liaise with suppliers and manage the Active Lancashire Brand & PR marketing budget to ensure maximum efficiency of spend.

**Public Relations**
- Leveraging opportunities to raise awareness externally of Active Lancashire’s wide-ranging work and impact.
- Produce engaging and informative material and distribute via local media and available Active Lancashire channels.
- Working with the Business Development Director to develop and implement of the organisation's PR Strategy.
- Contribute to the creation of monthly and quarterly reports with thorough PR tracking creating the overall evaluation of specific marketing campaigns.
- Supporting the Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team to capitalise on opportunities to promote awareness of the challenges in Lancashire and how Active Lancashire’s work can help to overcome these.
- Regularly present leadership with progress reports and recommendations relating to brand and PR within SLT meetings.
- Working with the Digital Marketing Officer, collaborate on the production of engaging e-newsletters that communicate the impact of Active Lancashire as a whole, as well as specific areas of work, to targeted segments of Active Lancashire’s audience.
- Highlight opportunities to enter awards and gain recognition for Active Lancashire’s work.
- Together with the wider team, produce engaging award submissions that highlight the impact of projects and any key facts/figures associated to the organisation.

**Funding Bid Support**
- Ensuring the generic answers library is up to date
- Proof reading of bid submission narrative

**Lead Marketing Officer for place based projects**
- Working with the Operations team and R&I team, be the lead Marketing Officer for place based projects.
- For each project, this includes working with the Digital Marketing Officer and Marketing Assistant to ensure that a project communications plan is created and delivered that details annual key dates, campaigns and activity. For each project, this may include:

- Case studies - working with the project lead to produce case studies and success stories that communicate the impact of the project
- PR - working with the project lead to communicate the impact of the project through relevant media/podcasts/blogs
- Website - write content for the website using the Content Management System and provide quality control support e.g. proof reading, editing and making sure all content is on brand
- Events - attend project events where appropriate to support project leads with coverage and follow up oppo
