Overview

We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide comprehensive administrative assistance to the management team. This role requires a proactive approach and the ability to work independently as circumstances dictate.

Position Details

This is a part-time role requiring 14 hours of work per week, primarily on Mondays and Tuesdays, with flexibility available upon discussion.

This position is offered as a 6-month secondment or fixed-term contract, with the potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Administrative Support Coordinator, your daily tasks will include:

  1. Managing schedules and timekeeping records.
  2. Updating and maintaining databases and records accurately, including the initiation and closure of work orders as instructed.
  3. Assisting in the administration of the Assessment in The Line process.
  4. Establishing and organizing efficient filing systems for the department, ensuring confidentiality and safety of critical documents.
  5. Performing general office management tasks for the Section Manager, utilizing a diverse skill set to deliver effective support.
  6. Providing assistance to fellow Administrative Support Coordinators as required.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Experience in clerical support and office administration.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant IT systems.
  • The ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

While not essential, the following would be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of the operational railway environment.
