We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to enhance our finance team. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility between office and home environments.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Management Accountant within the designated division of our organization. The Assistant Management Accountant will play a crucial role in assisting the Management Accounts team to fulfill the comprehensive accounting and reporting obligations within a specific division of the Active Care Group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of Regional and Divisional Profit & Loss statements and balance sheet entries to ensure accurate recording in the month-end accounts promptly, with guidance from the Management Accountant, specifically:
    • Accurate and timely posting of revenue, payroll, and cost accrual/prepayment journals.
    • Preparation of reconciliations for main trading account bank statements.
  • Contribute to the development of precise and insightful management accounts, including relevant KPIs such as revenue and margin analysis.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts in accordance with established timelines, with support from the Management Accountant.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Progressing towards an AAT qualification or possessing relevant experience in a similar capacity.
  • A proactive and positive mindset with a willingness to tackle challenges.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical and presentation capabilities.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Sage X3 software.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities and emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to work independently and adaptively.
  • Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience within a finance team.
  • Progressing towards an accounting qualification.

Desirable:

  • Experience in a dynamic and evolving team environment, particularly in private equity or healthcare sectors.
