We are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join our finance division. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for flexibility between our office and remote work.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Management Accountant of their designated division within Residential Services. The role involves assisting the Management Accounts team in fulfilling the comprehensive accounting and reporting obligations within a specific division of Active Care Group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation of Regional and Divisional Profit & Loss statements and balance sheet entries to ensure timely and accurate recording in the month-end accounts, with guidance from the Management Accountant, including:
- Timely posting of revenue, payroll, and cost accrual/prepayment journals.
- Preparation of reconciliations for main trading account bank statements.
- Contribute to the creation of precise and insightful management accounts, including relevant KPIs such as revenue and margin analysis.
- Assist in the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts according to established timelines, with support from the Management Accountant.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications:
Essential:
- Progressing towards an AAT qualification or possessing relevant experience in a similar capacity.
- A proactive and positive mindset with a strong can-do attitude.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical and presentation capabilities.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Sage X3 software.
- Effective communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to work independently and adaptively.
- Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.

Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a finance team setting.
- Progressing towards an accounting qualification.
