About the Role
The PFR Apprentice position is a developmental opportunity within the Cummins Accounting Services Team. As a member of this team, you will work 5 days a week, including 1 day for study at Kaplan Financial. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with flexibility to accommodate business needs. Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a professional accountancy qualification.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the production of monthly financial statements by completing Month End Activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external and internal customers, finance disciplines, and work teams.
- Analyze costs and prepare variance explanations through investigation and communication with the wider business.
- Assist with the monthly forecasting process for Cummins Europe.
- Make accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects within the team.
Requirements
- Hold a Level 4 AAT qualification.
- Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant accounting role.
- Be proficient in IT and MS Office skills.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills and a proactive work attitude.
