Our project values range from £5k to £15m, where we serve as both Principal Contractor and Principal Designer on various initiatives, while also collaborating with esteemed Tier 1 contractor clients in subcontractor and off-site manufacturing roles.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee our Water Industry frameworks, collaborating closely with Regional Managers to enhance our civil engineering offerings.

This role is based at our headquarters, with regular visits to client sites, covering various water companies.

This position is vital for our operations, and a background in on-site civil engineering project management is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage staff and subcontractors assigned to projects.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance for yourself and your team, including the completion of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures effectively.
  • Maintain close communication and management of clients and other stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary interface for clients within a framework.
  • Participate in a structured monthly project reporting process.
  • Engage with both internal and external stakeholders as necessary.
  • Proactively address environmental impacts and ensure project sustainability.
  • Manage the outputs of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) in line with project timelines.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management.
  • Background in civil engineering environments.
  • Strong understanding of planning, monitoring, and controlling techniques.
  • Familiarity with planning software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Certification in SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely.
  • Valid UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant City & Guilds trade qualifications.
