Job Summary

The Production Coordinator will work in partnership with the production team to support activities involved in the improvement of production line performance, process efficiency, and employee productivity. The role requires a flexible attitude to deal with a variety of production issues as they arise on the production lines within the area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production line troubleshooting and performance improvement;
  • Assist production team members in the management and improvement of production line performance by minimizing downtime and focusing on the most effective solution;
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure that all products meet quality parameters in accordance with relevant operating specifications;
  • Responsible for completion of relevant documentation and sign off relating to readings and actions taken;
  • Assist in the training of production team members as necessary within your skills/knowledge parameters;
  • Embrace new skills and activities which the business feels is necessary to improve production efficiency;
  • Ensure the escalation of production issues is adhered to by yourself and the team;
  • Interaction with customers when they are in the production area.

Requirements

  • Experience managing a production team;
  • Experience operating manufacturing machinery;
  • Worked in a food manufacturing environment previously;
  • Minimum GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths;
  • Food Safety Level 3 (training can be given);
  • Health & Safety Level 3 (training can be given).
