Production Equipment Operator

Since 1914, we have been delivering quality products, producing over 160 million units annually across 600 different product lines for major retailers.
Compensation Structure (Overtime applies after 36 hours per week at x1.25)
Day shift - £14.06 per hour (Increases to £14.48 upon achieving required skill level)
Key Responsibilities
This position operates within established protocols, plans, budgets, and schedules. Daily tasks are assigned by a supervisor or manager. Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the smooth operation of the SMI and associated machinery (logopak, spice capper, top tagger, video, pallet stacking).
- Troubleshooting and resolving minor mechanical and procedural issues.
- Collaborating with Area Process Leaders, Line Coordinators, Engineers, and Shift Managers.
- Verifying that the correct glass and caps are utilized on the production line.
- Maintaining the efficient operation of the Capper, including assisting with changeovers as necessary.
- Prioritizing quality, health, and safety considerations at all times.
- Adhering to the 'Right First Time' principle.
- Monitoring and enhancing efficiencies through mechanical and procedural knowledge.
- Working alongside Quality Assurance teams.
- Completing data entry tasks.
- Addressing minor mechanical and procedural challenges.
- Providing mentorship and support in training new employees.
Candidate Profile

- Proven experience in operating machinery within a manufacturing setting.
- Adherence to all relevant business and site policies, including Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork skills, with the ability to perform under pressure.
- A capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring product quality and safety.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A willingness to work in a production environment with varying temperatures.
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
