We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team at Greencore Group Ltd. As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient running of our production lines and associated equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain production line equipment, including machinery and tools, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor issues with mechanical and procedural equipment.
- Liaise with Area Process Leaders, Line Coordinators, Engineers, and Shift Managers to ensure smooth production operations.
- Ensure the correct glass and caps are on the line, and assist in or complete capper changeovers as required.
- Consider quality, health, and safety issues and their implications at all times.
- Work to the 'Right First Time' ethos, ensuring high-quality products are produced.
- Troubleshoot and maintain efficiencies with mechanical and procedural understanding.
- Work alongside Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Complete data capture and resolve minor issues, mechanical and procedural.
- Mentor and assist with the training of new staff.
- Experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Comply with all relevant business and site policies, including Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.
- Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and teamwork with the ability to work under pressure.
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment producing quality and safe products.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Be open to working in a production environment with varying temperatures.
