About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at TH Recruitment. As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting the delivery of excellent administrative, customer service, and transport planning support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health and Safety: Demonstrate a strong commitment to prioritizing health and safety by leading by example and fostering a culture of safety consciousness among all team members.
  • Transport Planning: Assist with the planning of transport schedules for Selby, ensuring optimal utilization of resources and meeting production targets.
  • Delivery Coordination: Coordinate and book daily deliveries, liaising with customer service, sales, and transport to promptly resolve any issues with deliveries.
  • Record Keeping: Create and maintain key business records, including delivery schedules and associated documentation.
  • Logistics Management: Manage logistics in SAP, including creation and amendment of load data, invoice processing, and updating of vehicle and fuel information. Ensure data accuracy and efficient use of the system.
  • Haulier Management: Record and monitor haulier costs in the sites transport system and maintain records using Excel spreadsheets.
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute delivery reports, maintaining updated schedules.
  • Invoice Processing: Review, verify, and process invoices, liaising with the accounts department to ensure timely payment.
  • Performance Metrics: Work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to delivery performance are met.
  • Process Improvement: Contributing to the continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency of the department.
Requirements
  • Manufacturing Experience: Demonstrated experience in a manufacturing environment, with a comprehensive understanding of transport processes.
  • Administration Skills: Proven Administration, and diary management skills in a customer-focused environment.
  • Transport Experience: Experience of working within a transport and/or logistics background would be advantageous.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving and communication skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills - written and oral.
  • Flexibility: A willing and flexible approach with a 'can-do' attitude.
