About the Role

Reporting to the Camp Manager, you will collaborate with a swim instructor to oversee swimming sessions, typically accommodating up to 16 children at a time. Sessions usually run between 9:30 AM and 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

Child safety is our utmost priority, and you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of all participants during sessions, supervising the use of equipment, and responding promptly to any incidents while adhering to established reporting protocols.

As an Ofsted registered organization, you will have the chance to observe our commitment to high standards in child care and well-being, gain first aid qualifications, engage with parents and guardians, and benefit from our leading training programs.

Person Specification (Ideal, but with some flexibility)

  • Current Lifeguard qualification: National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) or National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches (NRASTC). Up-to-date certification is required.
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience as a Lifeguard
  • Able to perform a depth test at the venue
  • A genuine interest in enhancing children's water confidence
  • Dynamic, resilient, and a team-oriented individual
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
