About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team at Uniper, where you will play a key role in the design and development of low carbon fuels and CO2 management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Conceptualize and design plants for the generation, transport, and storage of low carbon fuels (e.g., green H2/NH3) and CO2, ensuring efficient and safe operations.
  • Process Engineering: Develop philosophies and descriptions for design and operation, as well as lead documents (e.g., PFD, P&ID), to support project execution.
  • Equipment Sizing and Specification: Size and specify process equipment (e.g., electrolyser, gas treatment) to meet project requirements.
  • Design Coordination: Prepare and coordinate design activities to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Owner's Engineer: Represent Uniper's interests through all engineering phases, up to financial decision, to ensure project alignment with company goals.
About You
  • Education: Hold an engineering degree-level qualification (or equivalent), preferably in process engineering.
  • Experience: Possess relevant experience in engineering/owners engineering of gas or hydrogen infrastructure/plants/gas storage facilities.
  • Technical Knowledge: Have knowledge about water supply- and leaching process for above ground storage facilities, and be familiar with operating relevant process engineering software tools (e.g., HYSYS, Flaresim).
  • Soft Skills: Demonstrate resilience, teamwork, and self-motivation, with excellent communication and presentation skills in English. Proficiency in German, Dutch, or Swedish is a plus.
  • Travel Requirements: Be willing to travel within the UK and internationally to support project needs.
