Manufacturing Process Coordinator

Salary: Up to £31,200 per annum

Overtime compensation at time and a half

Working Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 07:30am - 16:30pm & Friday: 07:30am - 12:30pm

Location: Nottingham

Role Overview:


Our client is seeking an individual with a solid engineering background and a minimum of three years of experience in a production environment for the role of Manufacturing Process Coordinator. This position involves interpreting technical drawings, assessing material requirements, and managing job progress through a Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system. Candidates lacking MRP experience will receive training.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition from hands-on work to a more office-oriented role while remaining within the engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process engineering product drawings submitted by the design team.
  • Collaborate with production to determine necessary orders.
  • Procure materials based on engineering drawings and production schedules.
  • Utilize engineering knowledge to identify required materials and processes.
  • Maintain communication with the supply chain.
  • Provide feedback on design challenges to the engineering team.
  • Negotiate costs for materials.
  • Ensure continuous communication between the design team and production floor.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
  • At least three years of experience in a production environment to understand materials, processes, and timelines.
  • Strong engineering background, preferably with CNC machinery experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with MRP systems (training available).
