Position Summary:

In the role of Transport Services Commissioning Manager, you will spearhead the strategic planning, administration, and execution of diverse passenger transport initiatives within the relevant department. Your focus will be on ensuring that contracts are effective, comply with legal standards, and guarantee safe, high-quality transport for all users.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop and implement commissioning and contract frameworks for passenger transport services within the organization. Oversee financial allocations and assist in formulating future budgets and policies. Ensure that the commissioning strategy is underpinned by comprehensive data analysis. Perform due diligence assessments on service providers and optimize the use of Procurement/DPS. Collaborate with providers to create service specifications and manage performance effectively. Supervise compliance and quality assurance systems to enhance contract outcomes. Generate reports for upper management and contribute to the overarching Service Plan. Foster market engagement to ensure a diverse range of service offerings.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience: Proven leadership experience in commissioning, contract management, or transport, with a track record of managing large teams.

Skills and Knowledge: Proficient in managing substantial budgets, formulating strategic plans, and delivering innovative solutions to transport challenges.

Personal Attributes: Exceptional leadership abilities, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the capacity to engage effectively with stakeholders.

Educational Requirements:

A degree or advanced qualification in passenger transport or a related field, or membership in a relevant professional organization.
