Junior Pastry Sous Chef

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Junior Pastry Sous Chef to join our team at Kimpton Fitzroy London. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and sweet goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Pastry Chef in the preparation and presentation of desserts, pastries, and sweet goods.
  • Develop and implement new dessert and pastry menus to enhance the guest experience.
  • Manage inventory and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor junior chefs to ensure high-quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative and delicious desserts and pastries.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, recipe development, and pastry decoration.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of HACCP and food safety protocols.
