Security Operations Support Specialist

About The Role
We are seeking a Security Operations Support Specialist to assist our client in ensuring a safe and secure environment. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of £13.00.
This role is flexible with no set hours, primarily covering daytime shifts from 07:00 to 19:00, along with occasional night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
The ideal candidate should reside in the surrounding areas and possess reliable transportation, as public transport options may be limited.
Candidates must hold a valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and have basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Mobile Security Team, operating a designated vehicle to respond to site requests, investigate alarms, conduct patrols, and provide emergency security services as needed.
- Foster a secure atmosphere for clients, their employees, and visitors.
- Build trust with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders through sound decision-making, effective communication, and adherence to professional security standards.
- Comply with Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and client policies consistently.
- React promptly to incidents, alarms, and events, coordinating with Emergency Services, clients, and the Security Operations Centre as necessary.
- Ensure a positive interaction with colleagues, clients, and the public when engaging with security personnel.
- Adhere to the agreed shift patterns to provide adequate security coverage.
- Utilize TRACKTIK for patrols and incident reporting.
- Promote a culture of safety and awareness regarding health and safety risks, including accident and near-miss reporting.
- Maintain the security of client properties, employees, and visitors at all times.
- Prevent unauthorized access to sites by individuals, vehicles, or objects.
- Address unexpected events or incidents promptly, following established procedures outlined in the site Assignment Instructions.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Participate in training and development activities to ensure the necessary skills for the role.
- Conduct site visits to assess security standards, report risks, and promote compliance.
- Perform vehicle inspections to ensure safety and maintenance standards are met.
About You
Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in the security sector (Desirable).
- Full UK driving license.
- SIA license – Security Guard/ Door Supervision.
- SIA license – CCTV (Depending on site requirements).
- Proficient in IT Systems (User Level).
- Level 3 in First Aid (Desirable).
