Security Operations Officer

About The Role
We are seeking a Security Operations Officer to join our team and provide essential support for our clients. Competitive hourly rate offered.Contract: Flexible hours, primarily covering daytime shifts and occasional night shifts.
The ideal candidate will reside in the local vicinity and preferably have access to their own transportation due to the site's limited public transport options.
Candidates must possess a valid SIA Licence (Security Guarding or Door Supervision) and have basic computer skills (Word/Excel).
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the Mobile Security Team, operating a designated vehicle to attend various sites, respond to alarms, conduct patrols, utilize technology, and provide emergency security as required.
- Foster a secure environment for our clients, their staff, and visitors.
- Build trust with every client, colleague, and stakeholder through sound decision-making, effective communication, and adherence to professional security standards.
- Adhere to Assignment Instructions, Risk Assessments, and client policies consistently.
- Respond promptly to incidents, alarms, and events, escalating to Emergency Services, the client, and the Security Operations Centre as necessary.
- Ensure a positive experience for colleagues, clients, and the public when interacting with security personnel.
- Maintain a consistent schedule and fulfill agreed shifts to ensure adequate security coverage.
- Utilize TRACKTIK for patrols and incident reporting.
- Promote a culture of safety, awareness of health and safety risks, and encourage reporting of accidents or near misses.
- Safeguard the property of clients, employees, and visitors at all times.
- Prevent unauthorized access to the site by individuals, vehicles, or objects.
- Respond to unexpected events or incidents in accordance with established procedures.
- Deliver exceptional customer service consistently.
- Engage in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills.
- Conduct site visits to assess security standards, report risks, and ensure compliance.
- Perform vehicle inspections to guarantee safety and maintenance.
About You
Experience/ Skills/ Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security sector (Preferred).
- Full UK driving license required.
- SIA license – Security Guard/ Door Supervision.
- SIA license – CCTV (if applicable).
- Proficient in IT Systems (User Level).
- Level 3 First Aid certification (Preferred).
