About the Role

The Pricing team at Hiscox plays a crucial role in driving business decisions through data analysis and insights. As a Pricing Analyst, you will work closely with the Insurance Analytics function to develop a data-driven strategy for the UK business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design and implementation of pricing changes that align with business objectives and profitability targets.
  • Build strong relationships with underwriting managers and senior stakeholders to present recommendations and findings.
  • Produce regular portfolio management reports to monitor performance and identify trends.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis to understand changing market trends, quote conversion, policy retention, and customer behavior.
  • Maintain and implement production prices for all UK products, including delivery of pricing changes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement pricing models and data visualization tools.
  • Support the design and implementation of new technologies to enhance data analysis and insights.
Requirements
  • Graduate calibre with advanced statistical skills and experience with data analysis tools.
  • Strong general knowledge of data analysis software, including Excel and SQL.
  • High level of numeric competence and excellent data manipulation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
