About the Role

Churchill Estates Management is seeking a dedicated and personable Credit Controller to join our finance team at our Head Office in Ringwood.

In this role, you will engage with our customers and homeowners in a friendly manner regarding overdue payments to facilitate account settlements. Your responsibilities will include discussing account terms and negotiating repayment plans as necessary. This position involves both telephone and written communication, along with related administrative tasks.

You will need to handle sensitive situations with care, particularly for customers experiencing financial difficulties, and determine the best course of action. Occasionally, you may need to collaborate with solicitors to address unrecoverable debts. Maintaining professionalism, politeness, and kindness in all interactions is essential to manage expectations and meet both customer and business needs.

Office Hours: Monday – Thursday, 09:00-17:30 and Friday 09:00-17:00.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in Accounts and Finance, with a minimum of one year as a Credit Controller. You should have a proven track record in a B2C credit control role, demonstrating success in recovering aged debt balances.

Strong relationship-building skills are crucial, as you will need to manage client expectations and make informed decisions while remaining calm under pressure. A tactful approach will help you navigate challenging situations and assert yourself when necessary.

A good standard of education is required, with at least GCSE level C / 5 in English and Maths. You should be capable of reconciling complex accounts, be numerically proficient, and exhibit excellent attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, is also essential.
