We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our team at Birketts. As an HR Administrator, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, ensuring the smooth operation of our HR function.
Key Responsibilities- New Starters
- Prepare and draft employment contracts.
- Coordinate the new starter process, ensuring all required documentation is received and electronic HR files are updated.
- Provide excellent candidate experience, organize a 'buddy' system, and send a welcome email with logins and communicate induction.
- Conduct employment vetting checks, including references, SRA checks, and right to work, ensuring compliance with Birketts' standards.
- Cascade (HR System)
- Prepare reports for holiday, cancel/amend holiday requests.
- Log sickness and ensure completion of employee certification process.
- Generate ad-hoc reports as necessary.
- Leavers
- Assist HR Officers with the leaver process, ensuring timely processing of information.
- Respond to all employer reference requests.
- Early Careers Support
- Prepare contractual paperwork for interns, apprentices, and trainee solicitors.
- Support the early careers team with administrative elements of the trainee solicitor and apprenticeship programs, including recruitment, onboarding, and processing team changes.
- Coordinate logistics for careers fairs, interviews, and trainee events.
- Recruitment
- Support Talent Acquisition Managers in managing the end-to-end hiring process for junior hires, including processing applications, screening candidates, and arranging interviews.
- Assist with sourcing active and passive candidates through diverse talent pipelines, including advertising, job boards, LinkedIn, CV databases, recruitment agencies, and other resources.
- General
- Maintain electronic employee files and archive when appropriate.
- Provide administrative support on HR projects as required.
- Administer the firm's benefits, including car park, eye care, gym membership, and season ticket loans.
- Produce scheduled and ad-hoc letters, such as probation confirmation and ad-hoc award letters.
- Assist with process improvement.
- Experience in providing a customer-driven administration service.
- Excellent customer-facing skills and ability to interact positively with multiple stakeholders at all levels within the firm.
- Ability to work at a fast pace while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with a 'can-do' approach to managing a varying workload.
- IT literacy.
