Job Description

ersg Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Legal Advisor to join our team. As a successful international recruitment business specializing in the renewables energy sector, we require a professional with a strong understanding of contract law to support our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating Client Contracts: Take responsibility for the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of client contracts in support of new business for the global ERSG entities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Contract Management: Review and amend various third-party agreements, including non-disclosure/non-competition agreements, supplier agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Client Support: Attend client meetings or liaise directly with clients to support the ERSG Recruitment consultants in their efforts to win new business, negotiate terms, or provide any other legal support needed.
  • Dispute Resolution: Take responsibility for the management and resolution of national and international legal disputes, including contractual disputes, employment matters, debt recovery procedures, and preparation of court documentation.
  • Team Support: Act as a first escalation point for legal and contractual queries arising from the Contracts & Compliance team, providing guidance and support to junior members.
  • Work Permit Management: Oversee and support the work permit application process performed by junior members of the team, coordinating with local immigration partners when necessary.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a junior legal advisor, taking responsibility for the training and development of junior members of the Legal Department, offering support and guidance where needed.

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Legal Advisor, Contracts Advisor, or similar role.
  • A strong understanding of contract law.
  • Experience within a recruitment agency is desirable.
  • Previous management experience of more junior legal colleagues is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Degree-level education (ideally a Law degree).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office.
