About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Mental Health Social Worker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing comprehensive support and care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments and risk evaluations, developing personalized intervention plans based on individual needs.
  • Deliver person-centered psychosocial interventions, empowering service users to manage their mental well-being and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including clinicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure holistic care.
  • Promote the active participation of service users in shaping local services through consultation and engagement initiatives.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members and wider professionals on relevant legislation and best practices, particularly concerning S75 Social Care.
  • Build strong relationships with community resources, fostering a network of support for individuals and their families.

Essential Requirements

  • A recognized Social Work qualification (e.g., Dip/SW, Degree in Social Work) and current registration with the HCPC.
  • Post-qualifying experience in mental health settings, demonstrating a strong understanding of mental health issues and relevant legislation.
  • Proven ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, develop intervention plans, and manage a caseload effectively.
  • Experience in providing person-centered interventions aligned with the principles of personalization.
  • A thorough understanding of key legislation, including the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act 1983, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant health or social care laws.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A current driving license and willingness to travel.
